Universal Philatelic Auctions (UPA) is located in the heart of the UK, with access to major collections, auctions and suppliers throughout the country, plus a team of philatelic experts with almost 300 years cumulative philatelic experience. We have been supplying stamps to discerning collectors worldwide through the decades, and we continue to grow!
Omniphil & Avon Approvals launched in 1958 and continues to provide collectors worldwide with individually priced stamps with our Approvals service, and unit priced stamps from ‘U-Pick’ Mixtures.
In 2020, we celebrated 20 years of our world-renowned Universal Philatelic Auctions, featuring approximately 20,000 lots every quarter. Our unique Reducing Estimate Formula combined with No Buyer’s Premium and No Quibble Guarantee ensures that collectors can bid with confidence.
In 2007, we added a small eBay department regularly selling collections and bulkier type lots. With lots starting at 1p and no reserve, it goes without saying that these lots are always popular! Over the years, we have increased our number of shops to a total of 5, each selling a different selection of philatelic material and accessories.
In May 2018, we saw another opportunity to increase our range and introduced Top-Up Twenty (nicknamed TUT in the office). If you are a regular auction customer, this might be of interest to you. With new lots added daily and weekly price-drops for all lots (until they reach reserve), there’s a treasure-trove of material to discover!
Our valuations department is always busy working to ensure that we can service our growing number of collectors – we buy hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of stamps each year to keep all our departments happily stocked! We sell almost exclusively to collectors, which means we can normally pay that bit more, allowing vendors to sell quickly and easily without enduring auction delay or high commission.
Whatever you collect, from most countries, areas and themes, you’ll discover lots of material to add value and interest to your collection. We understand that every collector is different, which is why we have so many different platforms – take a look around and contact one of our dedicated teams with any questions or to request further details.
